Why Pick The Rose?
No Need for Bone Fusion
Our procedure maintains joint health without the need for joint fusion – as with Lapidus / Lapiplasty. It addresses the core problem of metatarsal displacement without requiring fusion, utilizing osteotomy for full and lasting correction.
Rotational Osteotomy
Part 1 of our procedure offers maximal healing potential thanks to excellent bone-to-bone contact, facilitating efficient bone healing. It differs from Lapidis or Lapiplasty procedures and is particularly effective in correcting large abnormalities.
Minimizes Complications
Our procedure minimizes complications by reducing the risk of non-union of the joint, as joint fusion is not necessary. A thick bone shelf on top of the bone effectively eliminates the chance of elevation or displacement, providing intrinsic stability and full range of motion without stiffness of the great toe. Additionally, it reduces metatarsal pain by avoiding shortening of the metatarsal.
3D Correction
As part of our procedure, there is a 3D correction of the deformity. This includes realigning the sesamoid bones and derotating the metatarsal, ensuring comprehensive correction.
Realignment of Cartilage
When necessary, the cartilage in the great toe joint is realigned to maintain proper function and flexibility. This precise adjustment will help achieve natural joint movement, which will maintain the correction and keep it stable over time.
Rapid Return to Activity
One of the key benefits of our procedure is the rapid return to activity. Patients can immediately bear weight after the procedure and quickly resume wearing sneakers and engaging in full walking activities. This rapid recovery is achieved through the intrinsic stability of the procedure and our specialized fixation technique.
